The Throne - No Church In The Wild

Here's the new video for The Throne's sick single "No Church In The Wild". Dope video. Fits the message in this particular song. But these guys may be getting overly artistic in their visualizations.....was my first thought. Maybe a little "art" is healthy in today's hip hop. For now I'll embrace it. Check it and let me know what you think.

Nas - Daughters

Damn...found footage is creeping into music videos?? I digress. This is Nas's latest set of visuals for his controversal awesome single, "Daughters". He pulled no punches in the song itself and the video continues this trend, all the way down to the instagramed condoms. Yet and still, this is one of the best vids this year. Enjoy.

Tech N9ne - The Noose

Here's some real, meaningful music to change the pace a little bit for you all. Tech N9ne comes through with the talented band Mayday to deliver a serious message. I posted the audio to this before, but here are the visuals. Enjoy.

The Dark Knight Rises (Trailer #3)

Here's the third trailer for what could possibly be be Movie of the Year. This trailer shows a great deal more this time around, highlighting more of the destruction caused by Bane and his mercenaries. It also shows the Batwing (?) in more frames. I actually don't think it looks too misplaced (I initially did).  This trailer also leaves my very confident in my "Bruce Wayne will die" theory. You'll see what I mean toward the end of it. Enjoy.

Nas - The Don

Check out the visual for Nas's latest single "The Don" produced with an assist from the late Heavy D (Rest In Peace). Def Jam opened up the budget for this one, highlighting the lavish life with a bit of nit grit street hip hop Nas is known for mixed in. Enjoy.

#JustListen QuESt - Stop The Wackness (Buried Ya)

The blog is BACK! Just did a USTREAM chat with the artist QuESt and he dropped a joint I absolutely had to share with my followers. Consider this the resurgence of regular material to the blog even amidst the multiple projects being shaped up. Check out the joint and download down below. Peace!

#JustListen - Logic

Logic is on a serious hustle these days, dropping his second video in two weeks. I don't know a whole lot about the cat (doing some research soon), but his last full release, Young Sinatra, hasn't mad its way out of my circulation. Its certified dope and I'm keeping my ear up for anything with him attached. Check his new joint Numbers:

Game of Thrones Season 2

Here we are. One of the arguably best shows to ever grace televisions world wide returns for its second season. Its a great feeling having read the books already and being able to see each page come to life before your eyes. There wasn't much deviation from the novels in the first season, so I expect the same from the second. I don't think George Martin left room for change anyway. The story is extremely well put together and each character/event serves a great purpose. Here's a great trailer to hold you over. Enjoy!

Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) - N***as In Poorest

This brings to memory the way Lupe Fiasco flipped Kanye's "Conflict Diamonds". The man Yasiin bey comes through with a spiritually and intellectually stimulating flip of The Throne's "N***as In Paris". Its refreshing to hear music from him again and I can't wait to hear more. Comment your thoughts on this joint down below. Enjoy.

Jay Z & Kanye West - Ni**as In Paris

Here's the video for the hypest joint off of Watch The Throne! Very nice visuals to compliment the song, but beware. Its a doozy in the vein of Kanye's "All of the Lights" video. Check it.

Pharoah Monch - Still Standing

Sorry its been so long since I've posted, been kind of busy. But I'm back and in fine form. After watching this AMAZING video, I absolutely had to post it. Its from Pharaoh Monch's latest album W.A.R., an album I haven't listened all the way through just yet. This song carries a strong message and the visuals compliment it well. Check it.

Mobius (Short Film)

Via the "Geeks Are Sexy" website, I discovered this amazing short film by Vincent Laforet. The film follows a photojournalist that catches a cartel execution on camera. Then, he experiences some supernatural phenomena in Mexico's "Zone of Silence". This is a fitting start for my short film features here. This one rounds up at a little over 11 minutes. Hope you all enjoy.

Phonte - Dance In The Reign

Perfect timing! Here's a new video from my 4th favorite hip hop artist (or 3rd depending on how I feel that day lol). This song is from his album, Charity Starts At Home, which is most definitely one of the top albums of the past year. This is how the album starts, so imagine how dope the rest is. Check it and comment. Enjoy!

Brother Ali - Writer's Block

Here is Brother Ali, one of the illest artist of our generation, with a new joint entitled "Writer's Block". He's working on a collaborative album with Jake One under the Rhymesayers label. This song from the collab album, titled Mourning In America and Dreaming In Color. Amazing. Check it and comment.

Jean Grae - U&Me&EveryoneWeKnow

Here's a great way to start off the New Year. Jean Grae comes through with the first official release from her upcoming album "Cake or Death". She handles some of the production duties on this one and it comes together quite nicely. This is one of the dopest songs I've heard in a long while. Check it.
