Summer Wars is a Japanese.....wait for it.....animated science fiction romance....yep. When you hear a film described as "Science Fiction Romance", I'm sure your thoughts went off into either a place reminiscent of Star Wars Ep 3 (lame) or The Time Traveler's Wife...maybe. After watching the trailer, though, you'll understand that the science fiction part is of a lighter sense, simply representing the Summer Wars' version of social networking systems. I have yet to watch this movie, but I'm EXCITED as hell to see it. The animation is stunning, the story seems to be pretty awesome (twists and all), the characters seem interesting, and the film has won itself a few awards to boot.
