Rage

Here's another game I'll rarely play alone. ID Software (creators of Doom and Quake) is releasing what should be another staple for the company, Rage, on October 4th. Its a very ambitious game, much in the vein of Borderlands (darker by far, though). Its a fps with RPG elements. More shooter than RPG when it comes to the gameplay mechanics, but RPG elements reign dominant in just about everything else. It keeps the trademark ID dark themes in an apocalyptic wasteland and it seems like its going to be quite a huge game. Check out this trailer.
